VIU-4000-М/M2 is installed onto electric locomotive types VL80R, VL80M, 2ES5K, 3ES5K.
VIU-4000-2M with axle-by-axle adjustment is designed for 4ES5К – one of the most powerful electric locomotives in the world.
VIU-5600 is meant for electric locomotive types VL65, EP1М, EP1P.
Converter is used to ensure:
- Significant increase in electric locomotive resource due to contactless regulation.
- Locomotive traction increased by no less than 12%
- Saving up to 15% of electric power consumed by the electric locomotive.
- Designed to comply with RoHS and REACH requirements.
