Starting device is used for contact-free smooth starting of asynchronous motors with a phase-wound rotor in various applications:
- belt conveyers in mining plants and power stations
- transporting conveyers of granular products
- slow start of pumps
- slow start of different lifting devices
- slow start of mills and crushers
Main advantages:
- smooth non-skidding movement of the conveyer belt upon system start by changing motor torque zero to the break-away momentum and maintaining a certain level of torque throughout acceleration
- possibility to run the conveyer at low speed needed for the initial loading and for maintenance procedures
- starter supports parallel running of motors of different makes
- high reliability in all climatic conditions
- safe starting of the conveyer after an emergency stop avoiding rollback in the case of an inclined positioning
